Design and Civic Awards

2011 American Institute of Commemorative Art Award Winner2011 Winner of Prestigious Civic Monument Design Award

The American Institute of Commemorative Art honored us with the first place prize in the Civic Monument Design category at their recent annual meeting. The veterans memorial pictured above is located in Tomah, WI, and is an inspirational design that honors all who have served.

The monument features a globe supported by a red granite column carved with 13 stripes. Five of the nine grey slabs around the globe are raised and their outline symbolizes the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. The seals of the six branches of the military are also represented. The design was created by Michael Feinberg, CM.
